Computer Music meets City Pop! Welcome to the world of USB3, where everyday computing peripherals become expressive musical instruments. Peripheral Love is USB3's debut single, a song about living in the city and loving computer music (and Chipotle). We've carefully designed and mastered the computer peripherals to perform popular music in a new way.

Stanford Live collaborates with Hans Kretz from the Stanford Department of Music and new music ensemble Wild Up to put together a course and concert around the music of Julius Eastman.

In Coherence is an audiovisual collage representing the incredibly varied musical interests and talents of CCRMA’s 2024 MA/MST cohort. Each artist completed a minute-long audiovisual piece, given only the last six seconds of a previous artist’s work for inspiration. While each artist’s gesture may appear incoherent at first glance, this sequential juxtaposition places them “in coherent” conversation with each other, a celebration of creative and interdisciplinary audiovisual expression.

Yesteryear is that timeless melody we can never replay in the present. The two sides of this cassette tape each hold a unique moment, a past and a present, each incomplete without the other. While the two sides can never be played together, we in our present moment can reminisce over yesteryear: a time gone by, the moments we've experienced, and those that have shaped our today. A rewinding of tape where past meets present, cherish this present moment, for it too will become a treasured yesteryear.

Welcome to an epic fusion of Strauss's "Also sprach Zarathustra" and Musique Concrète. This Space Odyssey-inspired performance unfolds in two movements, signaling the dawn of computer music. The first movement dances with invisible orchestral instruments, synthesizing Strauss's iconic sunrise fanfare. The second morphs into a sound collage of space, an interactive composition in Musique Concrète utilizing recorded sound with digital effects. Sit back as we transform Strauss's masterpiece into a unique auditory journey, your SLOrker's guide to computer music.
